Boot At Home
14/07/2019
Today was the day my first pastel piece went to its new owner.
I drew a black lab named Boot, he belonged to my dad & stepmum Deborah Trueman but sadly passed away some time ago due to a tumour in his chest.

They have felt such a huge loss since he was gone so I wanted to do something special, something personal for them. It's taken me a good few years to convince myself I could do it, but I'm so glad I did.
I was so nervous but they loved him! There were tears which really showed how much it meant and that made me so happy.
I'm glad I could do that for them.
I felt like I gave something back and that meant more to me than anything 🥰
Boot was drawn on Pastelmat A4
I used Faber-Castell & Derwent Pastel pencils.
I had him framed with a border so the finished piece was around A3.
