Fjord not once But Twice

Hi all, so I decided that I'd start my next picture but wanted to draw something that was a more solid colour, so I decided to draw a Fjord foal that I'd seen a reference photograph of.
So my first attempt was on pastel paper, its very different from the Daler-Rowney paper that I've been using, I found the PrismaColor worked much better for me on the pastel paper however, so I started my first drawing of the foal on that.
My second drawing was of the same foal, but on the Daler-Rowney white A3 paper that I've used previously with my faber-castell polychromos paper that I've mainly used before. I actually ended up finishing the second picture before I finished the first, however I have the completed portrait of the foal below for you to see, and below that the partially done foal portrait that I started below the finished piece.
I do intend to finish the portrait however It seems I have little more on than I realised when I started these pictures.
