MOVING FORWARDS

01/02/2019

Hi everyone,

I want to start this Blog out by going back to some old painting that I did, but then moving forwards to talk about my most recent works.
I will add photographs to this page where relevant however my actual art will be in the gallery page for you to view.

I ask if anyone does leave comments, which I really do welcome, all I ask is that you be kind, respectful and helpful to each other if I am unable too
Now to some of you this may seem a little old but I'm going right back to 2004, to when I was carry my child. I decided that I didnt want their room done in the usual Winnie Pooh, Piglet, little blue boats or pink unicorns. I didn't know what sex my baby was as I'd decided that I'd rather have the surprise on the actual birth day, that was a great decision I made too.

Anyway, I thought about it for a while and the one thing that kept coming into my head was the jungle and wild animals that I loved so much, so I decided to do the nursery in a Jungle Book theme.
I had the best time ever getting the room ready, going out and buying a single bed quilt and pillow set to cut up and sew and into a cot quilt and drape to go over the top half of the cot and hung from the ceiling by a bow and hook. I found a fantastic jungle themed set and it worked out perfectly even enough to make a cot bumper around the head area of the cot to protect little head and hands. I found some really cute teddies, and then after I'd got the room totally empty I painted it in a lovely light mint green colour. I then painted a large Shekan (sorry if thats spelt wrong) tiger on one wall, Baloo on another, and Mowgli with the baby elephant on the 3rd wall. The wall with the door in, I painted painted an awesome snake hanging down to King Louie who was dancing below.

I talk about this stage in my life because it shows you the sort of artwork that I used to paint. I only have a couple available, but I hope you enjoy the pictures that I will include.

Please leave any comments you wish below, I'd love to hear from you.

Be Happy & Keep Creating
