A Star Is Born - Epic Fail

Well I started this piece a while back but just couldn't get on with the paper, however I also took him back out and spent around 12 hours working on him, building up colour on him and the background, only to find the paper is crap! I am so mad its crazy! I've not only wasted 2 days on this piece, I've wasted materials that I can't afford to waste all thanks to a paper thats supposed to be made for pastels but is far to pitted on one side and far to smooth on the other. So after much deliberation I decided to put him into the fail folder and I'm going to have to restart him for the 3rd time!

Fail or not I wanted to share him with you, as apart from the crap paper, he's rather sweet.
